Landgasthof Hittenkirchen in Bernau am Chiemsee

Chapeau! Regional cuisine with a lot of heart :-)! We were at short notice with a larger group - of course, all at tables of 5 :-) - for dinner yesterday. Super personable team, our waiter was not only competent, but also friendly, funny and explained all the dishes with so much love that you could totally feel his passion for what he was doing - so nice! The food was delicious, everything was freshly made - the truffle mayonnaise on the delicious sourdough bread with poached egg was incredible ... and the pumpkin ice cream ... I could have sat in it - a definite recommendation, everyone appreciates the high-quality regional cuisine.

Note 1! Everything great. Great room with a view of the lake, everything was clean, the food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and courteous! We recommend.

"Kommissar Zufall" served us this excellent lunch. Veal liver and roast beef were served with flair and the best ingredients. The regional cheeses can compete with some sophisticated French cheese platters. Service and cuisine full marks. We look forward to our next visit to the area ... and to the Landgasthof Hittenkirchen!

In the last week we had the pleasure of being able to eat twice in the Landgasthof Hittenkirchen. In a nutshell, it was wonderful! The meat dishes were excellent, our vegetarian daughter was delighted with the pearl barley risotto with truffle and the cheese dumplings. The cream with the hay from "our" Seimehof was phenomenal! Great class! The prices are absolutely reasonable! Keep up the good work, we won't see you again until next May. We are already looking forward to it!

Unfortunately, the name Landgasthof no longer applies after the tenant change. This is a gourmet restaurant, which is rather unsuitable with children. The choice of dishes is very small and expensive. But everything we ordered tasted excellent. Much sourced regionally and the herbs from our own garden. A must for gourmets, not recommended for lovers of the ordinary country kitchen.

Know the country inn from previous holiday stays nearby. Wanted to go to dinner there spontaneously around 6.30 p.m. on Saturday. When we arrived the parking lot was almost empty. The guest room as well. However, a table was not available for us. After our trip to Herreninsel, apparently not quite the desired clientele because of our outfit. It's a shame.

Anyone who loves down-to-earth food with an exquisite touch cannot ignore this inn. Fine drops - from the aperitif (try the good old vermouth) to the Marc de Riesling complete the culinary delights. The service is competent and unobtrusive. Hopefully this house will have a long life.

New tenants. New concept. Very good food and great atmosphere. We will definitely be back. A little tip: Sheep cheese from Anderlbauer is certainly a great product, but sheep cheese can also be labeled 😀.

You can even drink a special espresso here. Yesterday we were guests at the Landgasthof Hittenkirchen, although admittedly one would expect more schnitzel and roast pork. However, there is a really great, unusual kitchen here. The menu is just as extravagant as the food, which is all sourced locally. It's fun to look at the menu and put together a menu. Prices start at 9 euros for a starter and 16 euros for the main course. However, it is perfectly fine for the craft what you have on your plate later. The waiter (owner) is really hard working and is very customer-oriented. You can tell that something was started with conviction. The food was always very tasty and you could tell that someone had thought about it. The sauce, eaten alone, was very “racy” in combination with the meat and cauliflower puree, but a dream! The drinks were delicious too, there are homemade lemonades too. The tables were very elegantly set in white. Even cloth napkins. A successful evening! We would love to come back and are very happy that there is a really great location in the country.

Bavarian kitchen next level!!! Owner serves himself and carefully describes dishes you get. Ingredients are coming from regional providers and are organic and biological foods. We HAVE TO support such people!

We can only recommend the Landgasthof Hittenkirchen. The rooms are beautifully and heartily furnished. The service extremely courteous and friendly. The dishes in the restaurant were adventurous, but very successful. We loved it. Either regional or fairtrade food is used. A country inn with a future.

Everything perfect, room with a view of the Chimsee including sunrise. From breakfast to dinner everything was great, can only be recommended. Landlords are very friendly and helpful. Keep it up!

Very good cuisine, everything from local products. Cold soup of melon and raspberry with coriander ice cream, cream cheese from Anderlbauer and salmon caviar as a starter and roast beef from Bernauer ox with creamed chanterelles in a potato nest were a pleasure, nicely rounded off by a very tasty Primitivo. Still water is free and with Riedel glasses (albeit the simple ones) drinking is even more fun. From the window seats you have a beautiful view of the Chiemsee. The choice of music is sometimes a bit unusual :). It's worth a visit!

Nicely decorated restaurant this does not quite match the food and not the music (music nevertheless quite good)! Waiter was unfortunately all alone, he was always trying and trying to explain the dishes and make them tasty. Location of the restaurant with a partial view of the lake. Gnocchi were not quite mature in taste, wild herb salad tasted a bit like lawn. The beef was very tender but something was missing. Kellener does not respond directly to customer requests but tries to persuade you. Only three desserts to choose from, one of which was not there. Lemon sorbet was a little too sour for me. Coffee was delicious☕! Conclusion everything tastes but unfortunately a little is missing everywhere to be really good! I think it's good that predominantly regional products are used here.

We felt very comfortable. Patrick and Anja are super nice and run the country inn with passion. The food is exclusive and a real highlight. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. From the rooms you have a wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee with a fantastic sunrise. We think it's great that sustainability is really lived here. All regional products, partly organic or even homemade. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.

Update 07/20: We went to the country inn again, this time for dinner. The quality and taste of the food is absolutely excellent. All main components are sourced regionally. The prices are totally reasonable for that. The service by the owner was a straight 1 with a star on both visits. We found the explanations about the map and how it works (regionally) to be very personable and transparent. The small team is doing a great job and we are guaranteed to stop by more often. Absolute recommendation! 06/20: Very good kitchen and very pleasant operator. Great view of the Chiemsee and the mountains. It's a bit hidden, but definitely worth a visit. We will definitely stop by again.

For a long weekend at Lake Chiemsee we decided on the Landgasthof Hittenkirchen. It is only 5 or 10 minutes by car from Bernau and Prien. Since spring 2020 it has been managed by Patrick, Anja and the little Eveline, a very nice and friendly host family. The inn is furnished in a rustic style and offers space for five rooms. All rooms have a cozy box spring bed, a balcony and a wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee. The restaurant is a stunner. Many locals and tourists find their way here. Home-style dishes that are implemented in their very own way. The best thing is, all products are regional! For example, the meat comes from the butcher who is still slaughtering from the neighboring town, the vegetables are grown in the garden himself. Patrick and Anja always serve their guests with a smile, very courteous and attentive. They know exactly what you want and give everything to make you feel comfortable! A service that couldn't be better! An accommodation that we will definitely visit again!

Brain tip! The Landgasthof Hittenkirchen shows its best side with a new tenant. If you want good, regional and lovingly prepared food, this is the place for you. The service is friendly, courteous and extremely competent. Again any time!

Very nice, romantic and idyllic view. The meal was excellent. The menu is designed individually and with attention to detail. The staff is extremely friendly and enthusiastic with detailed knowledge of their products. Gladly again!

Tenant change in May, young innovative family business. Regional products, tastefully prepared and lovingly arranged. Salad and herbs come from the home garden. Price-performance ratio fits. I had a roast scoop on a puree of cauliflower with apple salad, my husband a Wiener schnitzel with potato salad and cucumber salad. We also ordered a portion of fries. Was very delicious great meat quality, the whole with Bavarian refreshing hospitality.

Welcoming friendly and attentive staff, cozy yet elegant atmosphere, and delicious, umami food. One of those places which make your day! We'll be back

Good traditional food, large portions, fair price.

Here guest is still number 1. Portions and price are amazing !!!!!!! Our little one screamed almost all the time. Nevertheless the staff was very, very friendly. Although it was very uncomfortable for us. I really can only recommend it !!!!!!!! Hats off. Keep it up

Silent place, big portions and a wonderful wurstsalat they got here. And really not expensive!

Reviewing the restaurant part. Be warned, if you only speak English (like us) and are heavily reliant in Google translate be aware that reception is very poor inside the restaurant itself. Staff know enough English to get buy, but it can be a struggle! 5 stars. Excellent value - massive dishes at great prices. Really fast service. Nice atmosphere. Off the beaten track enough that I think it's a locals (as in German's) only sort of place, hence our struggles with the language and the not too touristy prices. Highly recommended.
